HOW IT WORKS
Bring empty, clean, dry containers or buy one at the store.
We weigh the container before refilling with the product you need, then weigh it again.
Products are sold by the ounce.
HOW TO CLEAN YOUR JARS
An important part of the refill process is to clean and dry your jars before refilling them.
We also recommend filling your container with the same product as before.
By reusing and refilling your bottles and containers, we save tons of them from landfill.
Here is a guide about how to clean your containers properly before reuse, to avoid contamination and to preserve the life of your products.
How to take off the labels:
-
Soak the jar in warm water for about 10 minutes and peel the label off.
-
If labels "get rebel", you can scrub them with baking soda and take off the glue residue with olive or avocado oil.
-
Rinse out.
How to wash glass and plastic containers:
-
Empty container and remove any residue.
-
Use a brush to scrub the container in hot soapy water, rinse thoroughly in clean, hot water or run through a dishwasher load.
-
Air dry on a clean surface.
-
Store in a clean and dry place until ready to refill.
How to sterilize your containers:
To sterilize glass and metal containers and lids:
-
Place your container into a pot with water. Bring to boil.
-
Boil for about 15 minutes.
-
Remove carefully from water, it's hot!
-
Air dry completely before use.
To sterilize plastic containers and lids:
-
Soak in hydrogen peroxide (3%) for about 10-15 minutes.
-
Rinse
-
Let dry completely.
(Or spray with isopropyl alcohol (70%) and leave to air dry in a clean environment.)
